Your Impactful Role

As our Appointment Coordinator, you'll be responsible for scheduling patient visits across our extensive clinic network. Your work will be vital in ensuring that patients are seen by the right physicians, at the right time, and in the right location. Whether you're an entry-level candidate eager to learn or an experienced scheduler looking for new challenges, this role offers you an opportunity to directly impact the quality of healthcare we provide.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Pre-register new patients and collect vital demographic information for our computer system.
  • Scheduling Expertise: Efficiently schedule appointments, considering location, time, physician availability, insurance status, and injury status across our clinic network.
  • Calendar Management: Create and maintain physicians' schedules, ensuring accurate tracking of vacations, on-call shifts, and clinic time.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to address schedule changes and conflicts.
  • Patient Support: Handle on-call days, triage calls, and coordinate work-in appointments with clinical staff.
  • Coordination: Communicate with satellite clinics to facilitate same-day appointments.
  • Professional Etiquette: Maintain group and individual voicemail and promptly return both internal and external calls.
  • Compliance and Ethical Practices: Uphold Peachtree Orthopedics' policies, adhere to legal requirements, and consistently engage in ethical patient care and business practices.
  • Adaptability: Be ready to assist in other tasks and duties as required within the department.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least two years of customer service experience.
  • Prior experience in customer care or call center roles within a medical office is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or a background in healthcare is a plus.
