Job DescriptionAs we embark on the next phase of business growth Jered, a PAR Systems Company, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to spearhead efficiency and excellence at our production facilities in Brunswick, GA. This pivotal role will drive strategic planning, performance improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. With over 60 years of experience in designing, building, and supporting products for every combatant ship in the US Navy, Jered is a renowned defense contractor specializing in a wide range of critical equipment, including anchor windlasses, capstans, mooring and towing winches, steering gear systems, cargo handling systems, and aircraft, cargo, and weapons elevators. Success CriteriaAs the Manufacturing Operations Manager, your experience in strategic planning and coordinating production process, ensures resource optimization and alignment with lean manufacturing principles. Collaborating with manufacturing supervisors and cross-functional teams is key to facilitating smooth product delivery and ongoing facility expansion efforts. Your ability to provide guidance and leadership to the manufacturing team will allow the organization to improve and sustain operational efficiency and meet production goals, even during times of change.Your steadfast and consistent leadership across manufacturing operations allows you to quickly promote a culture of strong communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Understanding how production machinery, workflow, and utilization will allow you to drive mature lean manufacturing principles to optimize operations and minimize waste long term. As you establish and monitor performance metrics, you'll foster a culture of accountability, while guiding the team towards continuous improvement to achieve results.Beyond the day-to-day, you have the responsibility for managing budgets and exercising cost control while collaborating with supervisors and other operational leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards. Lastly, but equally important is our ability to meet our customers military regulations.
