Staff Accountant

The ABM Enterprise Services Center seeks a self-motivated individual eager to advance their career. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate as a business partner with the FP&A and operations teams within a shared services environment.

Essential Functions:

* Execute month-end closing tasks promptly for designated areas, including: * Inputting data into the general ledger * Managing debits and credits * Managing reconciliations

* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. * Consistently apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Provide expert guidance on accounting matters to field personnel. * Proactively identify and prepare journal entries for assigned areas. * Drive and implement process improvements within the accounting function. * Identify, analyze, and communicate variances and their underlying drivers. * Conduct detailed trend and account analyses. * Deliver exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders. * Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts with precision. * Prepare and review journal entries. * Develop Prepared by Client (PBC) schedules and support external and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits.

Minimum Requirements:

* 0-2 years of Accounting experience. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience in accounting. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Proven track record of process improvement and optimization. * Experience in conducting reconciliations and preparing journal entries. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. * Strong customer service orientation. * Knowledge of JDE/ORC Cloud preferred but not required.
