This role involves managing contract life cycles, ensuring compliance, and supporting our organization's contracting activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. DoD regulations, FAR, DFARS, and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed and organized contract records and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of contract policies and procedures.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff on contracting procedures and requirements.
  • Prepare contract summaries and reports for management review.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract management, with at least 2 years working with U.S. DoD contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification.
  • Experience with cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, and time and materials contracts.
  • Prior experience in a defense contracting environment.
