Your Role at YES

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to elevate and expand our internal audit program to meet the demands of our growing company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, leading and overseeing a team that will provide independent, objective assurance services designed to add value and improve the Company's operations and ensure adherence to policies and controls.

Essential Duties:
  • Lead the Internal Audit Team's change initiative by implementing action plans related to risk assessment and annual planning, audit execution, audit reporting, staff recruiting and development, and audit technology
  • Oversee the execution of individual audits defined in the audit plan ensuring the highest level of service quality and counterpart satisfaction
  • Manage the process to track, follow-up, and ultimately close all open audit issues
  • Investigate irregularities identified through the audit process, or on an as-needed basis
  • Act as the intermediary between field operations groups, and executive, senior, and middle-management leaders to develop and recommend policies and procedures to ensure the consistent application of operational standards
  • Ensure that the Internal Audit Team is performing its work in accordance with established professional standards and remain abreast of emerging trends and best practices that can be incorporated into the function
  • Proactively inform senior management of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring prompt attention
  • Attract, hire, and retain a team of high-performing audit professionals who possess outstanding knowledge, experience, ethics, and integrity
  • Work in collaboration with the various departments to reinforce understanding of and compliance with the required standards; analyze findings to determine underlying root causes for performance gaps; and provide specific recommendations and action plans to realign performance
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in Assurance, Compliance or Internal Audit
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related Field; CPA or CIA a plus
  • Knowledge of standards, procedures, and general auditing policies
  • Strong ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling of work assignments
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and adeptness in facilitating negotiations, influencing, and building consensus during crucial conversations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to attentively listen and effectively convey technical information to external vendors, stakeholders, and employees at all levels
  • Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-directed work style, capable of functioning independently and collaboratively as part of a team
