This Engineer will work directly with a team to perform detailed design and analysis of custom equipment, individually and as part of design team. Typical equipment includes containment systems (gloveboxes, hot cells, cleanrooms), material handling equipment, small scale process piping & equipment, furnace systems, metal working systems (mills, lathes, rolling machines) and pressure vessels.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Engineering required from an ABET Accredited Program.
- Minimum of four (4) year Design Engineering experience is required.
- US Citizenship Required.
- Must have the ability to acquire a security clearance.
- Familiarity with 3D Design Software Creo (ProEngineer), SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with MathCAD and MS Access a plus.
- Previous experience with NRC, DOE, or DoD projects desired.
- Familiarity with NQA-1-2000 quality assurance programs desired.
- Follow regimented quality assurance/quality control procedures.
- Detailed design activities include preparation of fabrication & installation design packages, equipment datasheets, fabrication specifications, procurement specifications, engineering studies, test plans, and detailed equipment sizing & qualification calculations.
- Coordinates detailed phases of design work with other engineering disciplines
