Ability to focus on several moderately complex business activities. Demonstrates subject matter expertise by advancing more technical concepts unique to role, problem-solving and analysis. Responsibilities Prepares consolidated and individual legal entity financial statements as well as multiple employee benefit plan financial statements. Supports monthly close process, including maintaining controls and documenting the monthly close and preparation of the Legal Reporting Package. Prepares materials for quarterly earnings release and the Audit Committees of the Discover Financial Services Board of Directors and the Discover Bank Board of Directors under direction of manager working with other areas as needed. Coordinates external audits of legal entities and employee benefit plans. Reviews internal and external presentations including managing the tie-out process with proper documentation. Stays informed of GAAP/IFRS and other reporting changes that may impact the financial statements. Reviews changes in local regulations to determine impact on subsidiaries in various countries. Compensation: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
