Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Indexing Specialists. As an Indexing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our daily and historical-document indexing projects, ensuring accurate and efficient document organization.

The Indexing Specialist is responsible for reviewing and Indexing documents for daily and historical-document indexing projects. Documents may be land records (Deeds, Mortgage, Liens, Releases), vitals (Birth, Death, Marriage, DD-214s), or case files (Probate, Civil, Criminal, Juvenile).

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Review documents provided by clients.
  • Index critical pieces of information from the documents
  • Follow data entry standards provided by clients
  • Escalate issues to supervisor when appropriate
  • Maintain an average of at least 35 documents per hour for Land Record Indexing
  • Ability to read cursive and handwritten documents.
  • Conduct thorough and precise analysis of documents to ensure proper categorization and indexing.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while processing a large volume of documents within specified timeframes.
  • Adhere to established guidelines and protocols to ensure consistency and quality in indexing practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and project managers to meet project deadlines.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the documents being indexed.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and priorities.
  • Previous experience in document indexing, preferably in a remote setting, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with land records, vitals, and case files is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in using various software.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and commitment to producing quality work.
