- Utilize machine shorthand or steno masks to record proceedings, ensuring clarity and accuracy in transcripts.
- Review and read back portions of transcripts as needed during trials, facilitating clear communication among court participants.
- Maintain organized records of shorthand notes and transcripts for future reference, adhering to established filing protocols.
- Conduct depositions and manage the certification of proceedings as directed by the court.
- Record additional hearings and meetings, providing comprehensive documentation as required.
- Operate specialized stenographic equipment and assist with clerical tasks as necessary.
- Gather and organize court exhibits presented during proceedings, ensuring proper indexing and filing.
- Manage office supplies and correspondence to support court operations effectively.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with completion of an accredited court reporting program.
