Assists customers with new account information – customer contracts, deposits, connections, etc. Maintains office billing and payment records. Runs credit checks. Maintains and continually updates customer data files ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Records customer service and complaint orders and dispatches electric, water or wastewater personnel. Processes disconnects and reconnects. Provides exceptional customer service. Qualifications: A high school education or equivalent. Two (2) years related work experience is required. Strong word processing and spreadsheet skills and the ability to use a variety of office equipment such as calculators, copiers, typewriter, facsimile machine, personal computer, etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary in order to deal with a wide range of personalities both inside and outside the organization. Able to remain calm and deal tactfully with employees and customers.
