Supplier QA Specialist - North America

Datamars is seeking a dedicated Supplier QA Specialist to join our team. Key Accountabilities:

  • Quality Non-Conformities: Accountable for the number of, and status of, open quality non-conformities in Distribution.
  • Corrective Actions: Generates and coordinates the resolution and closure of corrective actions for distribution-related quality topics.
  • Supplier Quality Performance: Monitors and improves supplier quality performance.
  • Technical Guidelines: Ensures suppliers are provided with the correct technical guidelines to deliver products in spec.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Customer Feedback:
    • Review material and manufacturing specifications based on customer feedback.
    • Update finished goods quality requirements and critical control points accordingly.
  • Defect Identification and Analysis:
    • Lead defect identification and root cause analysis of finished goods.
    • Manage and coordinate corrective and preventive actions using JIRA or other advised platforms.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure timely resolution of non-compliance issues.
    • Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality (internal and external), including defect rates and areas for improvement using Q-Module in SAP.
  • Quality Supplier Agreements (QSA):
    • Create and maintain QSA inspection plans.
    • Define acceptance criteria for supplied finished goods.
  • Quality Control Audits:
    • Conduct quality control audits on-site.
    • Ensure compliance with incoming inspection per delivery/batch.
  • Problem Solving and Improvement:
    • Find and apply solutions to system and process challenges.
    • Support the rollout of global initiatives.
  • Technical Support to Suppliers:
    • Provide technical advice and guidance to suppliers to help reduce defect rates.
  • Special Projects:
    • Undertake special and related projects as required.
    • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.

      • Ability to investigate supplier and material quality issues and proactively design or discuss solutions.
      • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and develop effective corrective actions.

      • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders across different functions.
      • Excellent communication skills to provide technical guidance and support to suppliers.
    • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations:
      • Commitment to achieving high standards of quality and performance.
      • Focused on meeting customer requirements and expectations.
    • Self-Starter:
      • Able to work independently, take calculated risks, and make quick decisions.
      • Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.

Person Specification:

  • Experience and Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
    • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant regulatory standards.
    • Experience working with a multinational company, across time zones.
    • Proficient in using inventory systems such as SAP.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Languages: Fluent oral and written communication in English. Additional languages Spanish or Italian beneficial.
