Description

Responding to hardware and software problems, updating system software and tracking the data and communications used on our network. This includes routers, SD Wan, switches, wireless access points and UPS devices.

Assists in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users. Acts as a secondary Help Desk Specialist; responds to user calls on site, over the telephone or through video conferencing. Investigates error messages and determines resolution. Reinstalls program or replaces files that are causing errors. Calls software vendor or accesses on-line technical support to obtain software updates. Investigates appropriate areas of potential problem and determines resolution.

Maintains an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users. This includes Windows and Mac OS.

Monitors and evaluates efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient and self-sufficient. Trains users in startup, basic and advanced use of software programs. May provide group training on request.

Installs new software applications or hardware on the WAN, LAN or cloud, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.

Adds and maintains users on the network; assigns application access, ensures security, and maintains configurations within standards.

Assists in installation of workstations and printers on the LAN. Perform hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed.

Installs, configures, maintains and reports software and hardware that identifies security breaches, compromises or intrusions. Implements multifactor authentication and single sign on functionality.

Provides written document on a monthly basis which defines upcoming needs of network that would require purchase of additional hardware or software.

Works extensively with cloud software such as Azure and AWS. Implements equipment and technology that secures and hardens these types of platforms such as servers, gateways, remote desktop support and access.

Analyzes, configures and supports cloud telephony and its related recordings.

SQL Database implementation, configuration, tailoring and performance monitoring along with its associated reporting services. Understanding and composing SQL queries and commands are helpful.

Aids in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintains current knowledge of plan executables, and responds to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer related items.

The position is on-call 24/7 and requires scheduled on-site presence during normal business hours.

Requirements

5 yrs experience minimum in networked environment. Bachelor's in computer science (B.S.) is preferred.

Requires knowledge and experience working with Windows Servers and Windows Professional Desktop Client in an Azure Active Directory Environment;

Knowledge and experience working with Active Directory and Group Policy Management;

Experience with Microsoft Exchange Email system, Office 365, Azure and protocols;

Experience in supporting IIS, DNS Management, and Domain Registration;

Experience with Cybersecurity endpoint security software such as Bitdefender Gravity Zone, Sophos Intercept X with MDR support, MFA and SSO applications, and Microsoft SQL databases and Reporting services.

Cloud based call center functionality and telephony monitoring and configuration is preferred.

Salesforce experience is needed.
