Our programs are safety-of-life air traffic management systems we have developed for the FAA and international equivalents for use by air traffic controllers controlling civil and military aviation. This is an opportunity to learn new COTS, tools, processes, and methodologies as you focus on improving your skills to support, design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the SW development life cycle. *What You Will Do * Performing/Supporting the software team to design, develop, integrate and test operational and non-operational software updates for our Air Traffic Control (ATC) Product Line software.

Updating SW process documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s high maturity level software engineering standards and processes.

Collaborative working with the software team and leadership to support cost and schedule.

Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant software engineering experience or an Advanced Degree in a STEM related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer Experience working across the full software development lifecycle with C/C++ Programming / structured programming in a Unix/Linux based development environment.

Familiarity with object-oriented technology and programming languages. Preferably Java.

Prior experience in software testing and debugging source code, including familiarity with ClearCase/ClearQuest, Jira, and Bitbucket for configuration management.

Knowledge of Unix, Red Hat Linux, Python, SQL, Matlab, bash/ksh scripting

Experience working in a collaborative team environment, requiring frequent multi-level communication with other engineering domains, program management, and stakeholders.

Knowledge of agile, continuous development/continuous integration (CD/CI), and automated testing concepts. Familiar with Test Driven Development (TDD).

Experience with commercial or open-source test automation tools, environments, and frameworks such as Jenkins, Grafana dashboards, Gherkin/Cucumber, Selenium, CUnit/Junit, kickstart.

Familiar with database, database schemas, Entity Relationship models. Preferably has worked with a relational database such as Oracle/Postgress/SQL Server

Experienced in using integrated software development tools, such as Eclipse, VSCode, JetBrain.

Familiarity with Model-View-Controller design pattern for graphical user interface design, Javascript and/or GUI frameworks such as Angular/React experience is a plus.
