Human Resource Assistant Purpose:

Effectively handle Corporate Office Receptionist duties and some administrative functions in Human Resources.

Human Resource Assistant Job Description:

  • Effectively handle the Corporate Office receptionist duties:
Answer incoming calls professionally and correctly route calls to appropriate area, accurately distribute incoming daily mail and packages, greet visitors promptly and professionally
  • Timely notifications of monthly random and follow up drug/alcohol testing in accordance
with company policy guidelines for drivers and safety sensitive positions
  • Add and remove names from the safety sensitive list with testing agency
  • Coordinate driver expiring document notifications and renewals with employees and
managers
  • Maintain confidentiality of all HR/personnel information
  • Compiling and updating reports and Excel spreadsheets as required
  • Accurately maintain driver files ensuring forms are completed
  • Act as backup for processing hourly weekly payroll as needed
  • Performing filing to ensure that all required documents are collected and maintained properly
  • Preparing new employee personnel files, day one "swag bag" and emailing managers new hire onboarding directions/binder
  • Coordinating quarterly orientation sessions with managers and new hires
Human Resource Assistant Experience:
  • Six months to one year receptionist experience preferred
  • Experience using current hardware and software including Microsoft Office and Paycom
  • High school diploma or GED required, working towards degree in HR preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Some Excel Experience
