Job Duties

Required Education and Experience

• Licensure as RN in Minnesota or eligibility for same. Baccalaureate degree required • Minimum of one-year experience as circulating nurse, procedural care nurse, or completion of AORN Periop 101 coursework. • Must have at least five years of healthcare experience, hospital experienced preferred. • Minimum of one-year experience in a previous leadership or supervisory position. • BLS and ACLS certification required.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications • High degree of written and verbal communication with the public, clients, families, medical staff, ancillary departments and administration. • Diversified job requiring sustained mental effort and ability to deal with stresses related to interpersonal relationships. • Must possess highly developed division planning and problem-solving skills. • Must be able to deal with deadlines and prioritize appropriately. • Expertise with computer-based data • Customer/Client Focus • Ethical Conduct • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility • Teamwork Orientation • Technical Capacity • Time Management • Quality and Safety focused

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Exempt 80 hours per pay period and may require some flexibility.

Supervisory Responsibility Provide Leadership to the Department which will include oversight/supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Must have knowledge of the Chain of Command and the facilities Emergency Disaster Preparedness processes with the ability to respond and or implement if the need arises.
