Project Program Specialist

•Coordinate meetings between design professionals, stakeholders, and project constituents through the design process phases of Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Construction Administration, Project Closeout, and Project Warranty Review and Final Closeout.
•Provide input into the development and implementation of campus design guidelines, standards and procedures
•Coordinates development of project scopes and preliminary opinion of cost.
•Ensure all campus design guidelines and standards are incorporated into the project design scope.
•Ensure built structures and systems meets or exceeds maintainability objectives of campus operations units.
•Ensure project schedule deadlines are achieved, project safety and quality are sustained, and project budget expectations are met or exceeded.
•Address frequent and effective communications to key project stakeholders and engage their input for the successful function of the built environment.
•Perform frequent project inspections during Construction Administration and will encourage A-State operations staff to do likewise.
•Coordinate all change order requests through A-State stakeholder review and process all approved change orders.
•Ensure a timely project close out process and manage all post occupancy warranty claims during the duration of the contractual warranty period.
•Facilitating advertisement and review of Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and bids.
•Coordinate execution of contracts and purchase orders, processing of contract documents, producing project reports. collection and storage of electronic project documents, and timely receipt of project close out documents.
•On a project by project basis, provide support to campus departments and units regarding interior space layouts, furniture selection/procurement, signage and graphics
•Develop and implement A-State planning rules and regulations pertaining to space allocation and interior finishes
•Collect, analyze and present campus data regarding existing building conditions, as-built documents, campus utilities, site restrictions (easements, etc.) and previously completed projects to various on and off campus entities
•Provide guidance regarding building and site accessibility issues and accommodations
•Coordinate department communication to local, state and federal agencies
