Responsibilities:* Planning and conducting independent electrical engineering work requiring sound judgement in evaluation, selection, application and adaption of electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.* Prepare and modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices and standards.* Ability to perform all levels of electrical engineering designs for Industrial and Commercial facilities.* Advanced understanding of Power distribution: 15kV and 600V and below.* Ability to develop one-line diagrams, plans, details, and schedules.* Power study experience such as short circuit analysis/arc flash studies.* Application of NFPA Guidelines including publication 70 (National Electric Code), 70E.* Complete lighting design including lighting calculations, layout, and controls.* Development of motor controls, design schematics and act as a consultant for motor applications.* Research and develop cost estimates.* Provide manpower requirements for engineering proposals.* Ability to work well with clients, vendors, and project field personnel.* Participate in job site visits to serve as the electrical technical project representative during construction phases.* Ability to develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)* Process and field instrumentation design including application and integration* Control System programming - PLH & HMI knowledgeJob Requirements* Bachelor"s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program* 2+ years Electrical Engineering experience* Desire/background to become a Professional Engineer, if not at time of hire* Proficient using AutoCAD and/or Revit* Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards
