Job DescriptionJob DescriptionUnited Talent Staffing is seeking an Engineer I/II/III to join the Hope Gas team at their Parkersburg or Goshen, WV location.The Engineer I is an entry level engineer who will receive training in the various phases of engineering work, while also learning procedures, specifications, industry terms, standards, and work practices. The Engineer II is responsible for pipeline related design and construction projects. Projects will be multi-disciplined covering civil, mechanical, and electrical works, with a strong focus on the utilities area of the business. The Engineer III will perform difficult and complex work requiring a thorough knowledge of the subject matter and significant experience within the functional assignment area. There are two positions available that will be filled at either the Engineer I/II/III level. The position will be reporting to either the Parkersburg or Goshen, WV Shop.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engineer I- Performs engineering calculations, analysis, research, and design.
    1. Designs and sizes measurement and regulation stations for new developments or capital replacements throughout the operating area.
    2. Budgets and prioritizes capital construction projects throughout the territory.
  • Engineer II – All duties listed for Engineer I position with the addition of the following;
    1. Identifies and implements OPRA initiatives and improvements. Under the direction of supervisor, performs routine assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge, gain familiarity with techniques, approaches, practices and the nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc. and to develop the ability to apply fundamental engineering principles and techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
    2. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
    3. Willing to do pre/post site visits and other minimal travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Engineer III– All duties listed for Engineer II position with the addition of the following;
    1. Able to handle the most complex work and all aspects of the job using wide knowledge of the field and mastery of the subject matter.
    2. Able to work successfully on multiple ongoing projects at a time.
    3. Able to think quickly and achieve a resolution for projects and tasks that are considered urgent.
    4. May fill the role of Supervisor when he/she is out of the office.
Required Qualifications:
  • Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET Engineer I level -0-2+ years of engineering experience.
  • Engineer II - 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Engineer III – 10+ years of engineering experience. PE is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals, and theory
  • Ability to learn to apply engineering theories and concepts to complex problems.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.
  • Engineer II – Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs, manuals, and job aids (e.g. Auto CAD, Excel, Technical Bulletins, and SAP, etc.).
  • Engineer III - Ability to perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs, manuals, and job aids (e.g. Auto CAD, Excel, Technical Bulletins, and SAP, etc.) at an expert level.
  • Ability to work safely, have a positive attitude and be able to contribute to the team when needed.
