Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
HR Service Desk
Provide L1 support in response to all HR service desk submissions
Provide L2 escalation support as able, else move to L3 escalation (COE specialists: benefits, payroll, learning, etc.)
Recruitment and Onboarding
Assist with full-cycle recruitment processes including job postings and scheduling interviews.
Perform pre-hire duties for new employees such as prepare/extend offer letters and send onboarding packets, perform and track background checks, initiate new hire process and checklist, and be primary point of contact for new hires during pre-hire through orientation.
Register new hires to receive compliance acknowledgements
Enroll new hires in OSHA training
Coordinate relocation activities with relocation vendors
Benefits Administration
Administer COBRA and Tuition Reimbursement programs.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issue resolution.
Assist with benefits and wellness employee communications.
Handle Weekly and Monthly Benefits Billing.
HR Administrative Support
Respond to requests for employee verification
Process offboarding for employee terminations
Team building event coordination for annual engineer training group
Performing maintenance to the team SharePoint site (i.e. categorizing metadata, drive adoption, maintain documentation)
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous internship or relevant work experience (1-2 years) in HR preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
