Position Brief MEP Superintendent

Seeking a hands-on, driven MEP Superintendent to supervise all Framing, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection aspects of the project to ensure schedule completion and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

You will work with the on-site team of superintendents as a team
You are responsible for quality control of all trades (i.e. checklists and punch lists)
You will coordinate, schedule and monitor work from deck layout thru commissioning
Review MEP shop drawings to identify possible conflicts and installation manuals on all equipment
Attend/chair weekly coordination meetings with all trades (including framing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire protection) as well as daily huddles
Attend daily huddles with Optima team and subcontractors
Attend weekly lunch and learns with Optima team
Enforce onsite safety programs
Interface with governing officials to inspect and approve work
Interface with Architect and Subcontractors to process RFIs
Maintain expediting and daily logs
Create and complete punch list to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents and that buyer changes (for condo buildings only) are incorporated into building according to schedule.
Monitor equipment startups, commissioning and as-built drawings for all MEP systems
What You'll Need

Minimum of 5 years experience in dealing with MEP trades
Four-year college degree preferred
Constructed at least a $25M project start to finish
Mid- to high-rise Fast-track residential construction experience required
What Will Set You Apart

General knowledge of building and mechanical codes, as well as all framing, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low voltage systems
Basic knowledge of Lean Construction practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project
Proficient in Procore
Detailed and organized
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide direction and guidance to skilled trades workers
