Job Summary and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:
- Includes the preparation of the O.R. rooms, placement of equipment and property utilized in Surgical Services i.e. Surgical Suites, Procedure Rooms, Interventional Radiology Rooms, Cardiac Cath labs, Cardiovascular Operating Suites and Endoscopy Procedure Room . Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Terminally cleaning rooms and suites in accordance with facility policy and recognized standards
- Turnover of rooms and suites after emergency cases
- Preparing rooms for next day cases
- Anticipating which cases will be finishing and coordinating with nurses
- Other various duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides for the privacy/confidentiality of patients/family. Is knowledgeable of and
Consistently practices patient safety goals.
2. Communicates effectively with staff. Appropriate beeper/phone use
3. Under direct supervision assists housekeeping staff as needed.
4. Demonstrates basic knowledge of principles of aseptic technique.
5. Assures that correct equipment is in rooms
6. Demonstrates the ability to appropriately, efficiently and thoroughly perform room end of day terminal cleaning and weekly cleaning.
7. Demonstrates self-direction above and beyond daily assignments and actively offers assistance to colleagues both within the main ORs, cardiac ORs and various other procedural and surgical services units.

Situated in Portsmouth, NH, Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a premier 234-bed acute care facility that offers exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. This hospital is the sole ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, making it an essential resource for the community. It boasts the region's only comprehensive heart and vascular program, along with 24/7 comprehensive neurosurgical and stroke clot retrieval programs for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes. Portsmouth Regional Hospital is owned by HCA Healthcare, a respected healthcare provider that runs three hospitals, an ambulatory surgery center, two freestanding emergency rooms, an urgent care center, and 46 physician practices in New Hampshire.
