  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to understand material requirements and accurately forecast demand.
  4. Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
  5. Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and inventory levels using procurement software or ERP systems.
  6. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure continuity of supply.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance to purchasing team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  9. Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as supplier performance, on-time delivery, cost savings, and inventory turnover to management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  2. Proven experience as a purchasing manager or procurement specialist in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and optimizing procurement processes.
  3. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost reductions, achieve savings targets, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  4. Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  7. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  8. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
  9. Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.
  10. Commitment to ethical business practices, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
