As a Materials Management Manager at Kindred Hospital Bay Area - St. Petersburg, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's supply chain. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining accurate inventory levels, managing purchasing and receiving processes, and ensuring compliance with established policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain optimal stock levels and establish reorder points for all supplies.
  • Package and ship all parcels from the department, processing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Process purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices, following up on open purchase orders and vendor discrepancies.
  • Supervise the processing of supplies, including cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing, in accordance with established policies.
  • Solicit bids, identify potential cost savings, and issue purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and ensure data accuracy in the purchasing computer system.
  • Contact Biomed/Maintenance regarding equipment requiring an electrical safety check.
  • Process all patient charges daily.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Accounting, Health Administration, Public Administration, Nursing, Basic Science, or a related field.

Three years of related administrative, managerial, and/or supervisory experience in materials management.

Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office and Lotus products.

Prior experience using Materials Management systems.
