**Position Overview:**

The Emmanuel House Front Desk Clerk is responsible for assisting in facilitating and ensuring that all contact with the community and clients are handled in a professional and compassionate manner. This position is responsible for supporting the Emmanuel House Director in the completion of duties.

**Duties:**

* The Front Desk Clerk works under the direction of the Emmanuel House Director and is responsible for afternoon and evening services provided at the facility.

* The Front Desk Clerk is accountable for collection of fees, oversight of all sleeping quarters, maintenance of dormitory records, filing of client information and statistical records.

* The Front Desk Clerk must answer phones, responding to inquiries and taking messages when necessary, and see that all messages are delivered to the proper person in a timely manner.

* The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for on-going security checks and setting of alarms throughout Salvation Army facilities on site at 359 North Fourth Street. This includes lights, heat, air conditioning, window closure, locking of all doors and any other care of property items as needed.

* Any other tasks as requested by supervisors to keep the services functioning.

**Qualifications:**

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Experience in human services and knowledge of the community and resources available.

Knowledge of residential care facilities a plus.

Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to work as a team with other staff members and volunteers.

Detail oriented.

Computer skills required.

Good Oral and written communication skills.
