Overview:

Responsible for the preparation of both internal and external reports including SEC and regulatory filings.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in all aspects of quarterly/annual SEC filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, 11-K and other SEC filings, including the revamp of certain sections as assigned; Work paper/electronic compilation and tie-out; Integrating comments provided by colleagues and interacting with business leaders to ensure accurate filings; XBRL tagging of the Financial Statements and Footnotes; Completing GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.
  • Assist in the completion of any assigned regulatory reporting schedules for filings such as the call report, FR Y-9C, and FR 2314, etc. and assist in implementing solutions for process improvement.
  • Provide support for the earnings release (ER) process including the preparation of ER tables, verbiage, and presentation tie-out
  • Maintain ongoing collaboration with other members of the accounting and other departments to obtain and review schedules for the preparation of both the internal reporting package and external filings, and ensure transactions are captured appropriately in the financial statements.
  • Assist in accounting research and disclosure-related matters and incorporate new GAAP/SEC reporting requirements into filings.
  • Communicate with external and internal auditors regarding financial reporting matters.
  • Analyze the Banks consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare various schedules for internal reporting requirements including the monthly Board package.
  • Perform and complete ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • CPA license or MBA preferred
  • At least 2-3 years public accounting and/or public company financial reporting experience
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and concepts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; including research skills regarding current and prospective updates to regulatory reporting.
  • Banking/financial institution experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent team player who can build and leverage working relationships
  • Experience with PeopleSoft GL and Workiva software

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and at least 2-3 years public accounting and/or financial reporting experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is USD $67,000.00/Yr. - USD $90,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
