Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a current job opening for a full time, Non-exempt, Financial Analyst I, in San Diego, CA.

Job Summary: Responsible for the monitoring, reporting and forecasting a group's financial metrics.

Responsibilities :

  • Annual Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) during September/October of the prior year.
  • Assist and provide support to the Forecast I (F1) process in May/June, focusing on direct budgets.
  • Assist and provide support to the Forecast II (F2) process in August/September, including both direct and indirect budgets.
  • Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Conduct month-end reviews of revenue, accruals, labor, and non-labor transfers.
  • Quarterly: Perform Estimates at Completion (EACs) and revenue adjustments for Fixed-Fee Projects (FFP).
  • Review and reconcile AR invoices bi-weekly/monthly against the Project Status Report (PSR) or Revenue Worksheet; provide invoice backup as needed using Cognos data.
  • Prepare and submit project-specific CDRLs, MSRs, Spend Plans, and EVMS by project-specific deadlines, for prior month.
  • Support Monthly Financial Reviews (MFRs) with project leads in preparation for executive reviews.
  • Weekly/Other Responsibilities:
  • Handle labor posts, including timecard corrections, approvals, and error resolutions.
  • Approve expense reports.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/bi-weekly reports and spend plans, ensuring 75% notifications are addressed.
  • Tracks actual results against the AOP and forecast. Investigates any significant variances and explains to management.
  • Support pricing activities, including responding to RFPs and preparing cost estimates.
  • Manage project set-ups and modifications, including at-risk setups, close-outs, and de-obligations.
  • Coordinate workforce additions, including onboarding new hires and assigning default organization and account numbers.
  • Approve AP invoices.
  • Approve purchase requisitions.
  • Ensure proper coding across projects, organizations, and accounts (three designators).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or similar field.
  • 1 year financial analysis experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of Deltek CostPoint financial software.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Must be able to speak, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • Must have the ability to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $60,000 to $65,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
