Glendale | Contract **Job role:**
We are looking for drivers. Your job will be to safely operate trucks and drive goods, over intercity routes, in a timely manner.
This is a solicitation for Contract work.
**Responsibilities:**
* Plan routes in a cost, time and fuel effective manner.
* Account for, and adapt to, unexpected situations like weather conditions and traffic.
* Perform Deliveries of Assembled Furniture, Boxed Furniture, Cabinets, Appliances, Medical Equipment, and all other types of items to Peoples homes and to Businesses.
* Assembling furniture.
* Loading and unloading the Truck.
* Keep proper logs of hours on the road, miles driven and fuel spent, following all company, state, and federal regulations.
* Maintain the truck and associated equipment in good, working order; report all mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
* Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety procedures.
* Observe and report all defects, accidents, and violations.
* Adhere to company guidelines while interacting with customers and serve as brand advocate.
* Will always be working with a helper or another driver, so a bit of team spirit is a plus.
**Requirements:**
* Ability to operate a 26 foot box Truck safely
* [2] years experience in driving commercially - preferred but not mandatory
* Knowledge or willingness to gain knowledge of DoT policies and procedures
* Ability to travel with regularity and drive long distances
* No DUI
* Clean Driving Record
* Willingness submit to a background check
* Ability to acquire DoT medical card, Requiring a DoT physical and DoT drug test
* Willingness to work 40+ Hours a week.
