Quality Control Manager

Our client in Bethel Park PA is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join the team

Duties:

- Establish, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality system for a testing, inspection, and calibration laboratory in accordance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to applicable testing, inspection, and calibration techniques within the business scope.
- Coordinate corrective action processes and conduct periodic internal audits of all staff members.
- Facilitate quality management reviews and provide training to staff on ISO 17025 Quality System.
- Drive the promotion and measurement of quality improvement systems.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, particularly those impacting the organization's product quality.
- Collaborate with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements.
- Oversee the inspection of incoming materials to ensure they meet requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely inspection and calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Report to top management on the performance of the Quality Management System and recommend areas for improvement.
- Foster continual quality improvement within the organization.
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by analyzing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

- 4 year degree
- Previous experience in a Quality Control Environment
- ISO 17025 standard certified strongly preferred
- Knowledge of the applicable testing, inspection and calibration techniques
- Travel to customer sites (1-3 times a year)
