The Purchasing Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining efficient purchasing processes, ensuring that all necessary items and supplies are available for our organization. This position will require coordinating with vendors, processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and be able to effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Responsibilities: Receiving incoming shipments. Checking in, identifying parts, and receiving purchase orders in MAS/Sage 100. Checking for errors, damage, and quality. Kitting jobs and distribution of purchased products for individual jobs. Pulling parts for fabrication when needed. Maintains warehouse in clean and orderly fashion, includes sweeping, cleaning, and organizing of inventory and receiving area. Daily cycle counting and organization of inventory. Purchasing shop supplies and equipment. Monitor due dates, expedite, and follow up of existing purchase orders. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with coworkers and vendors. The ability to learn and obtain specific information regarding parts identification and part number correlation. Closing work orders in MAS/Sage 100 Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years’ experience Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook Experience with MAS/Sage 100 is preferred but not required.
