Position Summary: The Maintenance person is responsible for providing an attractive, clean, safe, and well-maintained property. The person must perform grounds, building, and equipment maintenance and repair work as directed by the Chief Engineer.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:

  • Wear a provided maintenance uniform and nametag at all times on property.
  • Assist all guest in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Perform preventative maintenance program in accordance with Fivestone management policy and procedure.
  • Complete Work Orders within 24 hours.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
  • Perform other such duties assigned by Property Management to meet guest or operational needs.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies timely, on a 24 hour on-call basis.
Common Guest Areas and Exterior:
  • Sweep and clean sidewalks and stairs each morning. Spot mop each floor.
  • Clear trash and empty property trash containers each morning and evening.
  • Parking Lot- Clear debris from parking lot, landscaping, and dumpster area each morning.
  • Ensure exterior building and grounds are clean by use of a pressure washer and blower.
  • Maintain the grounds, landscaping, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner.
  • Clean swimming pool (should be free of trash and leaves).
  • Straighten and clean all pool furniture.
  • Responsible for display and care of all property flags.
Common Guest Areas and Interior:
  • Paints walls, ceilings, doors and window trim as needed.
  • Perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, carpet cleaning, and other jobs as necessary.
  • Ensure Guest Laundry washers, dryers, vending machines and common areas are cleaned twice daily.
  • Elevator - clean windows and other surfaces.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to bend at waist and work on knees.
  • Ability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk three flights of stairs.
  • Ability to work outside in hot or cold weather.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
