Senior Accountant
ZL Technologies is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist with daily accounting duties. Please note this is an onsite position in Milpitas, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card
  • Managing daily accounting and accounting tasks for business
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Experience with general ledger functions and support month-end and year-end close process
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations and related filing requirements
  • Coordinate and work closely with foreign entities for month-end closing and global consolidation
  • Plan, assign and review staff's work
  • Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
  • Liaise with accounting manager to improve financial procedures
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a senior accountant, minimum 6+ years working experience
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP
  • Excellent organizing abilities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Good knowledge of accounting software
  • BSc/Ba in accounting, finance, or relevant field
  • Accounting Software: Sage Intacct is preferred
