Indian River Estates is currently seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join an existing Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Practice.

Job Type: Part-Time

In this role, you will provide services across the continuum of care (independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing). This is a unique opportunity to build and manage an outpatient Primary Care Practice on campus, as well as provide care for our assisted living and skilled nursing residents. You will work alongside a fellow Nurse Practitioner to plan and direct all functions of the resident care clinical area, including but not limited to, managing resident healthcare needs in compliance with State and Federal regulations, maintaining knowledge of the long-term care industry and geriatrics through continuing education, and serving as clinical preceptor for Nurse Practitioner students. Our Nurse Practitioners also play a key role in the development and implementation of preventative and well-being services, providing proactive care to assist our residents to thrive and age in place.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Masters degree in Advanced Nursing; preferably in geriatrics
  • Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority in the applicable work state
  • Minimum of five years' experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or relevant work experience in nursing care; particularly working with seniors (CCRC, skilled care, and/or assisted living environment) is preferred
