Position Summary Design, develop, and manage projects for enlarging, modifying, and maintaining equipment and/or facilities to improve reliability of products, processes, and equipment. Provide maintenance-focused and plant-wide engineering support for design, utilization, and operation issues relating to the Easton facility. Planned, organized, and initiated capital, reliability, and repair projects. Implement projects from concept, design, and construction through start-up, written procedures, training, and operation. Responsible for projects at Easton. Solely responsible for projects from $3,000 to $3 million. Manage multiple projects, oversee other project managers, and liaise with technical SMEs outside and within the facility. Supervise contractors on-site through the construction supervisor. Responsibilities Develop engineering solutions for chronic and sporadic equipment reliability problems and work with technical, production, and maintenance to implement solutions. This would include helping build and upgrade maintenance procedures and auditing to ensure improvements are sustained. Correctly estimate and ensure correct construction by creating/facilitating mechanical, structural, civil, and electrical designs producing drawings required for installation or modification of plant equipment, processes, and structures. Write the justification for all projects and process through required channels. Initiate and carry out studies, then make recommendations for changes in facilities and process equipment to improve efficiency, safety, reliability, and maintenance. Initiate, propose, and implement both capital and repair projects after determining their economic and technical justification and keep the Maintenance Superintendent informed on the progress of assigned projects. Provide the mechanical engineering service necessary for manufacturing operations, mechanical systems, and plant facilities. Plan, design, procure, and oversee installation of equipment needed to complete approved projects. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills 3-5 years working in a manufacturing environment: preferred. Education Bachelor's in Engineering General.
