We are seeking a skilled Lead Certified Hand Therapist - Occupational Therapist to join our team on either a part-time or full-time basis. As a leader in rehabilitative care, our facility specializes in providing comprehensive hand therapy services to patients in need. If you are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for individuals with hand injuries or conditions, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with various hand injuries and conditions.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Fabricate custom splints and orthotics as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic procedures and home exercises.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and support staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapist, specializing in hand therapy.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in hand therapy.
- Proficient in fabricating and fitting custom splints.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and promoting patient well-being.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
- Advanced certification in hand therapy (CHT).
