On-call requirement as arranged by manager.**Build the Possibilities. Make an Extraordinary Impact.**The **Specialty Pharmacist** is responsible to perform the duties of a licensed pharmacist. Ensures adherence to laws and regulations and maintains compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations as well as local, state, and federal requirements as it pertains to prescriptions.**How you will make an impact:**Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:+ Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security and inventory of controlled substances, and disposal of drugs designated as hazardous waste.+ Ensures compliance with laws governing the practice of pharmacy and distribution of drugs.+ Engages in consultation with prescriber regarding providing pharmaceutical care.+ Answers questions and provides information to patients on drug interaction, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.+ Ensures that stock and supplies necessary for customer care are ordered, stored, and handled in an organized and efficient manner.+ Lead the activities of pharmacy technicians and delivery/equipment technicians.+ Dispenses, and compounds drug.+ Plans, implements, and maintains procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, and ensures quality, security, and proper disposal.+ Assists the patient delivery representative in orders, receiving, maintaining and tracking all infusion related equipment.+ Collaborate with field team and intake to make new patient admits go smoothly+ Communicate with nationwide coworkers through email and teams to discuss patient care and new advancements in Home Infusion**Minimum Requirements:**+ Requires BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D and minimum of 1 year experience working as a Pharmacist in clinic and/or alternate site/home health pharmacy service; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.+ Requires current active unrestricted license to practice pharmacy as Registered Pharmacist (RPh).+ Multi-state licensure is required if this individual is providing services in multiple states.+ For Paragon and Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.**Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:**+ Sterile Compounding Certification preferred+ Sterile Compounding Experience preferred
