Director of Finance

*This position is hybrid remote in Reston, VA*

The Director of Finance will serve as our executive team's cornerstone, driving our financial strategy, ensuring strict compliance with government regulations, and cultivating robust relationships with key financial institutions within the GOVCON industry. The role requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, strategic foresight, and a proven track record of success in aggressive financial management and relationship building. The Director of Finance candidate shall seek to become part of a successful company to take responsibility for all financial and accounting department responsibilities. Candidates must be able to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff.

Maintain robust investor relationships, ensuring effective communication, diligent reporting, and meticulous adherence to regulatory requirements. Strategic Analysis and Decision Support: Conduct rigorous financial analysis and meticulous scenario planning to underpin our strategic decision-making processes, encompassing pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and resource allocation. Provide invaluable insights and actionable recommendations to our senior leadership team, leveraging a deep understanding of financial performance metrics, prevailing market trends, and competitive dynamics. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business administration, or a related field; an MBA or CPA qualification would be advantageous. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, ideally within the GOVCON industry or a comparable sector. A demonstrable track record of success in crafting and executing comprehensive financial strategies, driving robust business growth and maximizing profitability. A profound understanding of government regulations and compliance requirements, including a nuanced comprehension of FAR and DFARS. Exceptional leadership capabilities, underscored by a proven ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams, initiate organizational change, and foster a culture of relentless improvement. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills enable you to cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all echelons.
