Financial Systems Manager

As a member of the Information Services Department, the Financial Systems Manager will function as a liaison to the Accounting team, guiding and aligning Accounting's technological roadmaps with their business objectives and priorities. They will offer recommendations for new or alternative technology solutions as necessary, and execute these suggestions with minimal disruption to business services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Tasked with actively engaging key stakeholders, offering recommendations on departmental technology priorities, and ensuring the alignment of resources to ensure the successful completion of projects. This includes maintaining the existing technologies and tools utilized by the Firm's Accounting department.
  • Work with Accounting leadership on priorities for the team and ensure alignment, resourcing and governance with key stakeholders
  • Recruit, oversee, and foster the growth of a robust, motivated team focused on high technical performance in the financial systems area.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring & education to team members and others in the IS and business areas who will collaborate on financial system projects
  • Manage projects, allocate resources, and monitor performance deliverables to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead requirements gathering meetings in a way to ensure the end solution meets the requestors needs.
  • Partner with business teams to create User Acceptance Test plans and serve as a liaison between technical and business teams when conducting the testing.
  • Oversee the pertinent third-party vendor relationships.
  • Suggest innovations and technical/process improvements that will lead to efficiencies and/or automation.
  • Drive the development of a systems roadmap that will drive scalability, business optimization, and zero-touch processes.
  • Keep abreast of financial and integrated application technologies through attendance of seminars, conferences, training programs, and meetings held by professional groups.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline required. Equivalent combination of education, training and experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
Experience:
  • 12 years IT industry experience, 5 years management or lead experience.
  • Leadership experience on projects for cross-functional teams.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Experience with professional service time and billing software, ideally with experience in Elite 3E, including IDE and Templates
  • Experience utilizing the Intapp product line, particularly in leveraging Integrate or Boomi for developing integrations and automations.
  • Ability to ensure the continual updating of digital security measures for the Firm's financial management system and integrated applications
  • Experience with databases and SQL development
  • Strong leadership and people skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Accounting team, IS managers and vendors.
  • Strong professional communication both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills
  • Gather requirements and process mapping experience required.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with a high level of ownership and drive to achieve goals.
  • Ability to navigate sometimes ambiguously-defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering meaningful results.


WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work:Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects 20 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds.

VISUAL ACUITY

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as:preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
