Summary

The Marketing Manager at Emagine Entertainment is the driving force behind our marketing initiatives across the entire theatre chain. From assisting in planning to execution, this role oversees a diverse range of marketing activities, including in-theatre promotions & social media strategy/campaigns. This position entails establishing and maintaining all promotions and in-theatre marketing efforts, as well as strategizing and scheduling marketing promotions. With a keen eye for detail and strong project management skills, the Marketing Manager ensures that promotions are delivered on time, within budget, and with maximum impact.

This role will be based out of our office located in Troy, MI. Training will be conducted in-person during the first several months. There is potential for occasional remote workdays, subject to manager discretion, although this is not guaranteed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Project Management
  • Assist in establishing goals and objectives for each project and manage timelines to ensure deadlines are met
  • Identify project risks and escalate issues in a proactive manner when necessary
  • Assist in producing and maintaining in-theatre marketing plan updates
  • Resolve conflict quickly to keep projects moving forward and functioning at a high level
  • Conduct monthly theater visits and provide feedback on theater needs and/or concerns
  • Navigate rapid changes and fast-paced environments, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver results efficiently
Promotion Planning
  • Oversee all in-theatre marketing efforts, including digital signage and assist in the placement of marketing materials
  • Maintain promo tracking on a monthly basis, and provide month end marketing reports
  • Act as a liaison between theatres and marketing team and address or escalate any issues as they arise
  • Assist in rewards program growth
  • Collaborate on social media strategizing and execution of content
  • Develop SOP's for promotions & communicate to theatres
  • Assist in managing monthly theater marketing calls & email communications
Other Duties
  • Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Marketing that are determined necessary to successfully carry out the goals of Marketing Operations

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • Two to five years in a retail marketing communication required
  • One to two years of Project Management experience preferred

3. Strong attention to details and project management skills

4. Maintains excellent business relationships with clients, vendors, trade professionals, etc.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, internet savvy, with preferred familiarity in other project management software's such as Asana

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Work hours could be 45 plus hours a week.

Emagine Entertainment's affiliates own and operate luxury theatres in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Emagine operates theatres with a combined 23,141 seats and 244 screens. Emagine has led the way in bringing luxury theatres to the metropolitan Detroit market. Emagine enjoys the honor and distinction of being named "Best Movie Theatre" for several years running by the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit News, and WDIV television. Emagine has been named "Best Theater to See a First Run Movie" by Hour Magazine consecutively for the past 9 years.

Emagine is a recognized innovator in the theatrical exhibition industry having been the first theatre chain in the world to convert to 100% digital projection. In 1997, Cinema Hollywood (now Emagine Birch Run) was the first theatre in Michigan to open with all stadium seating. Emagine was the first to introduce 4K projection to the Detroit market and it boasted three of the first 100 Dolby Atmos®immersive sound systems deployed worldwide. On December 15, 2017, Emagine began operating the largest movie screen in the State of Michigan with the opening of its Super EMX auditorium (featuring laser projection technology) at its megaplex in Novi, Michigan and on December 19, 2019, Emagine opened the largest CinemaScope screen in the Midwest at its Emagine Canton/Westland location. Paul Glantz, Chairman of Emagine Entertainment, has been interviewed on CNN concerning his views and opinions on the operation of luxury theatres. On February 28, 2018, Emagine Entertainment, Inc. and 7-time BET Award-winning and Grammy® nominated superstar Big Sean (Sean Anderson), announced their joint venture agreement to develop, Sean Anderson Theatre, powered by Emagine, a world class cinematic and live music entertainment center in Detroit (and potentially at other sites around the U.S., as well. The new partnership is actively scouting prospective sites in Detroit.
