The MDS Coordinator is a professional nursing position responsible for the accurate and timely submissions the Minimum Data Sets (MDS) in the facility. The focus of the position is to manage the MDS assessment process in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Experience and Skills
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. A Registered Nurse from an accredited Diploma or Associates Degree Program is required. Must possess and maintain a valid and current RN license by the
Maine State Board of Nursing. At least five years of progressive professional nursing experience with at least two years long-term care, clinical and charge experience. Skilled nursing care and dementia care experience is desirable.
Experience or training in such areas as geriatrics, rehabilitation, education and psychiatric nursing desirable. Must have a genuine interest in Gerontological nursing.
Experience or training with and ability to organize, direct, and coordinate nursing and other allied health personnel to meet the total needs of the residents.
