We are seeking a Volunteer Associate who will support the with the implementation of recruitment strategies for critical volunteer opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist with the implementation of recruitment strategies for critical volunteer opportunities
Ensure representation at events, churches, and career fairs to promote opportunities and recruit volunteers
Maintain consistent communication and connection with current, potential, and prospective volunteers
Collaborate with all departments in the scheduling, development, coordination and facilitation of volunteer orientations and trainings
Coordinate one-time service opportunities and donation drives as needed
Ensure volunteers are logging hours/mileage and approve hours/mileage on a weekly basis; offer office hours if needed
Closely track database and manage volunteer assignments
Manage volunteer program metrics by developing and maintaining program evaluation methods, including regular monitoring of volunteer data and tracking, to evaluate program effectiveness and growth opportunities
Ensure the maintenance and integrity of data systems pertaining to volunteers
Assess potential risks and liabilities of volunteer activities and behaviors, elevating to the supervisor when necessary
Keep volunteers engaged by coordinating regular meetings with teams to complete check ins and approvals of volunteer hours.
Attend department meetings as requested.
Other related tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to work effectively and sensitively with people of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
Relational skills, interact well with participants, volunteers, and team members, creating a welcoming and interactive space for all involved
Proven customer service and administrative skills
Self-motivated worker with the ability to demonstrate initiative and work well as part of a team
Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire a diverse group of people;
Strong written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with tailoring messaging to diverse stakeholder groups;
Must have the ability to work under pressure with flexibility in a virtual or in-person team setting
Regular evening and weekend availability required
Self-motivated with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in one or more common participant languages is highly desirable
