Principal Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of BB Day Camps, the Site Director is responsible for building a vibrant and inclusive Jewish Day Camp program.The Site Director will assist in developing, implementing, and operating the BB Day Camp Portland program, including camper recruitment, program development, hiring and supervision of seasonal camp staff, building a vibrant Jewish community for campers and staff, program budget development and management, and planning for future improvement and growth.The Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Camp.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred; however, it is not necessary.
  • Post-graduate work in related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 summers of experience in youth services, Jewish camping, or similar non-profit work
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate effectively with several different stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience with program development and implementation
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills; manage multiple activities seamlessly and to delegate effectively; meet deadlines; strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity and comfort with Jewish values and traditions.
  • Prioritizes inclusivity within the work that is produced.
  • Ability to be flexible and manage change.
