Duties: Work on transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) with an understanding of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics and failure analysis; Perform Bright Field/Dark Field imaging using TEM/STEM, interpreting data for customers; Advise customers regarding nanotechnology technical research and development issues through on-site analysis and discussions; Create summary reports to capture the project objectives, analysis data and interpretation of the results; Coordinate workflow with other team leads and collaborate to provide total solutions to our customers; Partner with vendors to understand tool performance and develop new techniques to improve throughput; perform basic tool maintenance and calibration; Train junior technicians on TEM imaging. Requirements: position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering field plus knowledge or experience gained in all of the following. Knowledge or experience in use of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics and failure analysis; knowledge or experience in one or more areas of electron microscopy such as TEM, STEM and AC-STEM; knowledge or experience in use of a Transmission Electron Microscope. Knowledge may be gained through education, coursework, or experience.
