What will I Do?

The Systems Engineer I role is responsible for managing configuration, testing, training, and upgrading hardware and software solutions critical to the evolution of guest experiences at Megaplex Theatres. This includes formalizing project scope and use cases, defining and communicating timelines, identifying dependencies, ensuring deliverables are on-time, mapping development sprints and priorities, and partnering with IT team leads as needed. This role requires a demonstrated ability for thoroughly testing new software versions in our lab environment, vetting production-bound hardware, and proactively resolving risks to projects. The Systems Engineer I champions the company's Mission and Vision and models the company Values.

The position will:
  • Protect the moral, legal, and financial assets and wellbeing of the company
  • Continually teach associates new and better ways of doing business with an emphasis on stewardship, accountability, and guest service
  • Uses analytics platforms and available market research to incrementally enhance digital customer experience and optimize software and hardware investments for the theatres
  • Manages software project requirements gathering, schedules, scope of work, milestones, platform configuration, error handling, design, and defines clear lines of task ownership
  • Be a bridge between business managers and IT partners during all phases of owned projects
  • Adhere to budgets and keep projects on track for successful completion
  • Actively helps to shape the product roadmap, vision, and feature definitions
  • Maintain positive and proactive communication with business stakeholders to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
  • Develop functional requirements, user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, and end user training
  • Consult with subject matter experts and stake holders to identify and resolve problems
  • Prepare and maintain documentation library related to process and procedure
  • Submit, monitor, and update ticketing system for work requests as needed

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Relevant industry experience with eye for profitable product strategy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven and results-oriented
  • Project management or formal certification are a plus
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screening
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • Must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
