  • **This position is located at MacNeal Hospital**
  • Responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing of providers.
  • Facilitating all aspects of appointment, reappointment, and privileging maintenance for physicians and allied health providers.
  • Collect relevant and critical data to determine applicant's eligibility to be credentialed.
  • Works with Trinity Health's Credentialing (CPI) to ensure files are completed and accurate.
  • Evaluate and review applications for accuracy and completeness. Gather and conduct verification of confidential healthcare provider credentials.
  • Ensure all expiable are reviewed, obtained and managed on a monthly basis according to rules and policies
  • Monitors and reports on renewal deadlines and lapses in credentials.
  • Runs procedure/case logs in EPIC.
  • Maintains database (MSOW) of all required credentials.
  • Assists with department file reviews and Joint Commission audits
  • Acts as point of contact for all day-to-day administrative matters associated with the Primary Source verification process.
  • Supports the Chair of Credentials Committee and assists with facilitating monthly meetings and creating meeting materials.
  • Works with Legal to provide Board of Directors materials and updates. Follows through with Credentialing Committee approvals.
  • Work closely with Department Chairs/Chiefs to review files.
  • Assist the Medical Staff Office with day-to-day duties such as walk-ins/ provider questions/issues.
  • Assist with provider privilege form maintenance/creation

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college

Minimum Experience:
Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
