Job Overview:

Shriners Children's Portland has an opportunity for an Operating Room Technician. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide.

Schedule: On-call (in-person)

Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year

Compensation range: The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.

Responsibilities:
  • The Operating Room Technician provides safe and timely transport of patients to and from hospital departments.
  • The Operating Room Technician is responsible for the stocking of medical and non-medical supplies, transport of laboratory specimens, retrieval of blood products, and linen coordination.
  • Other services include: turnover cleaning and assistance between operative cases, waste management, stocking of fluids and blankets in warmers, and assisting with cast application.
  • The Operating Room Technician coordinates services with others to provide optimum assistance for operating room, pre and post-anesthesia care units, and sterile processing departments.

This is not an all-inclusive list of this jobs responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
