Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist supports the mission, vision, values and objectives of Saint John's Health Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, discharge planning, performing patient evaluations, establishing and implementing a plan of care, monitoring patient's progress. The Speech-Language Pathologist should demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills including direct, honest and compassionate behavior.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Completion of, or eligibility for, Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Coursework/Training: Speech-Language Pathology Area of Specialization - Completion of competencies for:
    • Therapeutic feedings,
    • Patient transfers, and
    • Assistance with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
  • Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.
  • 1 year Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
