Field Team Recruiter

The Field Team Recruiter (FTR) works closely with the Operations team of a single Service Center or an assigned region. The primary role of an FTR is to recruit the front-line workforce. Recruiting involves approaching strangers in the general public and speaking with them to promote the East Coast Facilities workplace. Recruiting includes calling on persons who applied for advertised jobs, and networking with existing and prospective employees. FTRs are organized, good communicators, excellent at follow-up, comfortable engaging others, positive, and professional.
- The role requires the ability to speak both English and Spanish, or English and Haitian Creole due to the demographic of the workforce predominately applying for open positions in the facility services industry
- Responsible to fill vacancies of front line positions
- Supports Operations team with recruiting plans
- Is in an "always be recruiting" mode
- This role may report to an Operations Manager or the Director of Operations
(other duties may also be assigned)
Primary duties
- Maintains a regular schedule of field recruiting. This means on-the-ground engagement of prospects found in public areas of the communities we work in.
- Network with existing, past, and prospective employees to obtain leads.
- Review applicants to field-level jobs, screen applications, and select qualified candidates for preliminary interviews.
- Identify candidates for whom hiring managers can perform final interviews.
- Works with Operations level leaders to facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, Directors, and other stakeholders if requested
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process
- Will obtain from Operations approved salary ranges according to company guidelines, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Keep up-to-date on the current company's organizational structure, and personnel policy
- Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions as directed
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Completing timely reports on employment activity
- May be asked to conduct exit interviews on terminating field employees
Strong Communication Skills,
Qualifications:
- Must speak fluent English and fluent Spanish or fluent English and fluent Haitian Creole
- At least 3 years in one or more of the following categories, operations role in the facility maintenance industry, any outside sales role, recruiting, or HR-related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work closely with an operations management team
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Willing to travel via air and land to company-owned branch facilities
- Able to pass an illicit drug screen and criminal background check
While performing duties, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; may read and interpret data, information, and documents; observe and respond to people and situations; learn and apply new information or skills; work under deadlines; and interact with others encountered in the course of work. Proficiency in English is required.
Physical Demands
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Long working hours are required for an emergency, urgent response, or winter weather storm management operations.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel & Development
Travel throughout the market served by the Allentown Service Center, from time to time for purposes of training, the employee may be required to travel to other offices of ECF.
Security
The employee may not use illicit drugs or prescribed pharmaceuticals that will impact their ability to safely carry out their job during their employment with ECF. ECF operates in several high-security environments which require individuals who can pass security background checks. The employee is required to be able to pass security background checks to fulfill their role. The employee is to have and hold a valid driver's license free of points from traffic violations and or accidents.
