This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid in Vancouver, WA with one to two days on site weekly. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.41) is $30.17 - $48.41 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. The ideal candidate will possess the minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required. 5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree. Experience should include ability to participate and perform effectively in a project team environment and effectively manage multiple work assignments and changing priorities. Working knowledge and demonstrable experience in study tools such as Powerworld, GE PSLF and/or PTI software including modeling power system components with the software. Knowledge and understanding of performance characteristics of power transmission equipment and correct representation of power system networks for analyzing transmission system performance including advanced applications such as DC terminals, SVCs, LDCs, governor and load modeling, etc. Ability to review studies completed by transmission planning engineers and write technical reports based on those studies. Skill in oral and written communication to effectively fulfill stakeholder/ customer/team requirements. Proficiency with administrative software such as Microsoft Office Suite products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
