May negotiate contracts with vendor management to support communications needs, objectives, budget and time frames. * Manages and/or writes, edits and produces communication materials as necessary while ensuring quality standards are met. * Coaches company representatives to maximize the effectiveness of their presentations to the news media and other audiences. * Performs staff leadership role and promotes motivation through effective management and mentoring. * Establishes department financial goals and objectives and ensures all objectives and expectations are met. What You Bring * People Mgmt. Experience is a Must * Bachelor's degree in related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. (5+ years) * Proficiency in communication practices and techniques. * Knowledge of the production requirements for printed material, television and/or radio advertising. * Knowledge of project management methods and techniques.
