The role of Purchasing/Inventory Control Coordinator will report directly to the Purchasing Manager .
Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing/ Inventory Control Coordinator will perform all aspects of purchasing for the company and for managing the inventory, distribution and control of those items for all company locations. The Coordinator must identify the products that are to be purchased, confirm all aspects of pricing, confirm all deliveries and maintain within the organizations ERP (Odoo).
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Work with company departments, sales to determine purchasing needs and requirements for production and local vendors
* Identify availability, and confirm quality of products and establish delivery requirements/timelines
* Perform all purchasing functions, such as issuing purchase orders (POs), pricing verification, signing off on PIs, complete entries into Odoo and follow up on outstanding receipts
* Conduct records audit of inventory, adjustments and other metrics and prepare monthly/ quarterly/ annual reports as requested by management
* Attend meetings as required
* Works closely with Purchasing Manager, Logistics Supervisor and Business Analyst to determine best purchasing plan
* Work with Sales on forecasting, notifying them on over and not performing products
* Assist Logistics as needed to complete receiving as it relates to purchase orders
* Work with warehouse supervisor on inventory accuracy
* Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
:
* 1-3 years experience in a purchasing and/or inventory role
* Experience in purchasing and inventory control management
* Experience and proficient in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, solutions
* Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
* Must be detail-oriented
* Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, problem identification and resolution and ability to generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues to management/ department heads
* Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium
* Graduation from accredited high school; some college desirable
* Demonstrated proficiency in Google applications, particularly Excel;
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS
:
* Duties are performed in an office environment.
* Contact with internal and external customers and vendors.
* Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
* Works in an office environment and sits for long periods of time.
